InnoPub Media stands for innovation in new media publishing. We are a start-up company organized by a couple of online community journalism pioneers based in Cebu City, Philippines.
The company was started by Max Limpag, a multi-awarded blogger and veteran print and digital journalist, and Marlen Limpag, an online community journalism pioneer and freelance writer.
Max is the business editor of Sun.Star Cebu, the biggest newspaper in Visayas and Mindanao. He was named best technology blogger in the first Philippine Blog Awards (PBA) in 2007. In 2011, he won Best Technology Blog in the PBA-Visayas Leg and Best Sports Blog in the PBA National Level. His running website was named 1st runner up in the Best Cebu Blogs award in 2010.
Marlen is the Cebu correspondent of BusinessWorld and a contributor of Yahoo! Philippines. For 10 years, she led website operations of the Sun.Star Network Exchange (Sunnex), the network website of the different Sun.Star newspapers throughout the country.
Among InnoPub Media’s trailblazing projects are the production of electronic guidebooks on Cebu and the data-tagging of tourism and heritage sites with QR or quick response codes under the MyCebu.ph website.
The two projects are supported by leading telecommunications company Smart Communications Inc., Department of Tourism, Cebu City Government, and key partners like Ayala Center Cebu and Marco Polo Plaza Cebu. The two projects were commended by the Cebu City Council in a resolution passed on mass motion last January 2012.
